It's 1926 and the brand new Faculty of Law is open for learning at the University of Alberta. Current Law Prof., William Alexander Weir, has taken over as the inaugural Dean of Law. After a faculty function, which greeted many guests including Premier Brownlee, shots ring out behind Athabasca Hall. Poor Dean Weir is found lying lifeless in the pumpkin patch soon after.
