Historian Charles Grove wrote, “nowhere has he achieved more” about Mozart’s exuberant “Jupiter” Symphony. Rossini’s zany overture, Haydn’s cheerful concerto, and two works by Wieniawski – one a dramatic tone poem and the other a dazzling showpiece – performed by our concertmaster Robert Uchida make this concert an orchestral kaleidoscope.
