August Long Weekend! If you are not heading out of Edmonton for the long weekend you can find a ton of exciting events happening this weekend. August Long weekend is always filled with the best patio parties, the warm weather sets the perfect scene. We have a couple festivals, hilarious improv comedy, street car pop-ups happening this weekend.

10 Years of SWEAT Party
A 2 Venue Outdoor/Indoor Festival event to celebrate 10 years of SWEAT, presented by SWEAT, Disco in the Park, & Grindstone Theatre Society. Over 9 different DJ’s at two different locations. Come party all night with Grindstone Theatre.

Pop-up Streetcar Party
Experience the most unique views of the Edmonton River Valley and enjoy local artist Steven Sware atop the High Level Bridge. Local craft beer will be served cold and you will see the best sunset Edmonton can offer.

Catch Irene Tu at Comic Strip

At 7 pm on Friday and Saturday nights, the long room transforms into The Red Door Room. Fabulous cake, coffee, libations and vittles.

The 11 O’clock Number is Grindstone’s award winning improvised musical comedy! Based on suggestions from the audience the cast improvises a brand new musical comedy on the spot, complete with twisting plots and show stopping numbers. Laughs are guaranteed.

Edmonton Party Cruise
Hop on the Edmonton RIver Boat and party the night away. There are over three hours of the largest boat party in Edmonton. Live Dj’s taking song requests all night and professional photographers to capture all the moments. there will be amazing sunsets of the beautiful downtown.
