Paella Patio Party

Join us on our summer patio for a trip to Spain with Chef Owner Kathryn Joel and you'll learn to create two fabulous paellas: a vibrant Mixed Seafood Paella, teeming with shrimp, mussels, and squid, and a Chicken Paella with Spinach and Artichokes (ingredients subject to change depending on seasonal availability). We'll start cooking in our studio and then move to the patio to finish the dishes on our BBQ.

Sharpen Up Your Knife Skills

Join Kathryn Joel as we work with chefs’ knives and paring knives during this Introductory Knife Skills class. If you choose to use our knives you’ll be using 8-inch Henckel chefs’ knives, but we invite you to bring your own knives along if you’d prefer. During your class, we’ll be focusing on the following basic skills: slicing and chopping onions and shallots; puréeing garlic; tomato concassé; chiffonade of leafy herbs; how to dice, slice and julienne vegetables; peeling round fruits and vegetables; and segmenting citrus fruits.

Using both our Gas BBQ and traditional Konro Charcoal Grill, this class combines indoor instruction in our studio kitchen with hands-on outdoor grilling on our summer patio. You'll learn to prepare iconic dishes such as Satay Shrimp with a fragrant peanut sauce, Gai Yang marinated grilled chicken served with sticky rice and a refreshing Green Papaya Salad, and the spicy and flavourful Crying Tiger Beef.
